A lawyer’s ability to communicate effectively can only make the business grow!

A successful lawyer is a lawyer who not only has knowledge of the law but also when advising clients has the ability to communicate effectively with those clients.  A successful lawyer is a lawyer who has acquired excellent interpersonal skills and quite often it is because they listen to clients and when the speak they use simple plain English.

Showing empathy which means the ability to show sympathy and show you care is also an essential skill.  Clients quite often are daunted when they see lawyers and it is the lawyer’s job to make sure that the client does not feel intimidated but at ease.

By communicating effectively with clients, means that, irrespective of the outcome of the client’s case, there is a higher probability  clients will refer their network of acquaintances  to the same lawyer/law firm.  ‘Word-of-mouth’ still goes along way.
